The Spirit of Truth: Finding Clarity in an Age of Confusion
As the world grows louder, our greatest spiritual gift may be learning how to discern truth.
There has never been a time in history when we have had access to so much information. The internet, artificial intelligence, social media, podcasts, and videos have opened remarkable opportunities to learn. Yet they have also made truth more difficult to discern.
As an astrologer, scientist by training, psychic medium, and lifelong student of Scripture, I believe one of humanity’s greatest challenges today is not finding more information; it is developing greater discernment.
Raised in the Greek Orthodox Christian faith, I have spent more than five decaders studying the Bible, the Church Fathers, philosophy, theology, and metaphysics. Throughout my life I searched for a way to reconcile my love of God with astrology, intuition, and psychic awareness. Rather than abandoning one path for another, I chose to study, pray, observe, and ask for wisdom.
One of the books that deeply influenced my thinking was Allan Kardec’s foundational work, The Spirits’ Book (1857). Kardec, a objective professor who was not a believer, describes communications attributed to ‘The Spirit of Truth’, which is God, and encourages readers to think, study, and evaluate rather than blindly believe. Whether or not one agrees with every conclusion, the book reinforced my desire to seek truth with humility.
That phrase immediately reminded me of Jesus’ words:
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth…” (John 16:13)
For me, this verse became the ethical foundation of my work. Before every astrology consultation, intuitive session, or mediumship reading, I pray and ask that only information aligned with God’s truth, love, and highest good be allowed through. I do not see myself as the source of wisdom. I am simply the messenger.
History continues to expand our understanding. Discoveries such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Nag Hammadi Library collection, and more recent archaeological finds in Egypt remind us that scholarship continues to uncover new pieces of humanity’s spiritual story. I welcome these discoveries as invitations to learn with curiosity while remaining grounded in faith.
Likewise, thoughtful contemporary conversations—including Gregg Braden’s discussion on The Joe Rogan Experience about consciousness and ancient wisdom—encourage us to ask deeper questions. I encourage everyone to research broadly, think critically, pray sincerely, and discern carefully.
Artificial intelligence is another powerful example. AI can educate, inspire, and accelerate learning, but it can also generate convincing misinformation. Technology is a remarkable servant but a poor substitute for spiritual discernment.
When I become confused, I return to stillness. Prayer. Reflection. Mindfulness. I ask the Spirit of Truth to guide my thoughts. In my experience, truth brings peace rather than confusion.
The older I become, the less interested I am in proving that I am right. My desire is to become more loving, more teachable, and more willing to follow wherever truth leads.
I invite you to do your own research. Read Scripture. Study history. Explore ideas. Pray for discernment. Let your search always begin with God, and trust that sincere seeking will illuminate your path.
