Discover the pivotal role of the big three in astrology, their profound significance, and how understanding them can lead to profound personal growth and self-discovery, inspiring you to live a more fulfilling life.
- Astrology has evolved from the 1960s of “What is your Sun sign?” to “what is your Big Three”? So, what is the big three in astrology? Which of the big three is more important? Are you curious about what the hype is around the big three? From fifty years ago to now, there is still a huge fascination with astrology. I had such a passion that I read every book I could get my hands on and went to every workshop I could attend. You don’t have to do that, I’ve done all the studies for you. You know different astrologers could debate the most important of the big three. Why? Because astrology is about translating symbolism. It’s not a concrete science; it’s a language of eerily accurate symbols. Let’s start with the Sun. It’s one of the big three in astrology. The Sun symbolizes the extraverted energy of your personality. It’s the area of focus where you shine and what warms your heart. The Sun lights up your entire natal chart. Where the Sun reveals what area of life you may shine in. We also have to investigate further to see if the Sun is near other planets or on a very sensitive point in the natal chart. As a seasoned astrologer, I look at the entire picture of your chart from a birds eye view the to the tiny details and putting it all together to make perfect sense to you.
- Next, we have the Moon, another significant energy in the big three. It symbolizes your emotions, how you protect, and what you care about. It’s the introverted energy of the planets, the feelings we may suppress. Just as we do with the Sun, we look at where the Moon is in the chart and if it’s hanging around other energies. If for example the Moon is near your Pluto, you may have very intense emotions that are transformational in your life.
- The third of the big three is the ascendant. The ascendent is the cusp or edge of the first house. The first house in the astrology natal chart is determined by your first breath when you were born. The sign on the eastern horizon of the earth is your ascendent sign. The ascendent sign is the way others perceive you. It’s people’s first impression of you. It reveals what you want to do. The first house always has the energy of Aries and its ruler, Mars. It’s that assertive, bold, and courageous energy. For example, if you have a Scorpio ascendant, you will exhibit the positive or negative traits of Scorpio. You could appear controlling, secretive, sexy, or have profound psychological gifts. You could be psychic or into the occult.
Remember, the natal chart is not just about the big three. It’s a comprehensive puzzle, with all the chart’s energies working together to reveal how you operate your life. To truly understand yourself, it’s important to view the natal chart thoroughly, not just focus on one aspect. You could be missing out on a wealth of valuable information.
Besides the big three, there are 4000 plus other pieces of information that reveal your personality, purpose, career best for you, and so much more. Realize that the big three are only a tiny part of your natal chart.
Now you know the big three of astrology: the Sun, Moon, and ascendent signs. Looking at the entire chart and its components will reveal the truth; just looking at three out of thousands of data is a disservice.
