The Moon, Your Gut Feelings, and the Language of the Soul
One of the questions I am asked most often is:
“How do I know if it’s intuition or fear?”
The answer is simpler than you might think.
Fear is usually loud, urgent, and repetitive.
Intuition is often quiet, calm, and clear.
The Moon, ruler of Cancer, governs our instinctive responses. Long before the rational mind analyzes a situation, the Moon reacts.
This is why many people experience intuitive messages through their bodies.
Have you ever felt:
- Butterflies in your stomach?
- A knot in your gut?
- Chills running through your body?
- An unexplainable feeling that something was right or wrong?
The body often speaks before the mind understands.
Interestingly, Cancer is associated with the stomach and digestive system. Many people with strong Cancer placements literally “feel” information in their gut. This connection between emotional awareness and physical sensation is one reason why Cancer energy is often linked with heightened intuition and psychic sensitivity.
I encourage my clients to become students of their own intuition.
Start noticing:
What does a “yes” feel like in your body?
What does a “no” feel like?
Most people know the answer but haven’t slowed down enough to recognize it.
The Moon also rules memory.
Sometimes our intuition arrives through dreams, symbols, childhood memories, or sudden flashes of insight. The subconscious mind speaks in images rather than words.
Cancer season is an excellent time to strengthen your intuitive connection by:
- Working with the phases of the Moon.
- Practicing meditation.
- Recording meaningful dreams.
- Spending time in prayer and reflection.
- Trusting your first impressions.
Remember:
Your intuition is not something you must earn.
It is something you were born with.
The real work is learning to trust it.
Love and Peace,
Ev
